Prayer is a powerful weapon!

Today, we’re continuing our series on “the power that transforms the world,” inspired by this book by Bill Johnson that is, for me, a source of inspiration. I’d highly recommend it!
In the Lord’s Prayer, when Jesus teaches on prayer, He says, “‘Your Kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven.’” (the Bible, Matthew 6:10) This means that God’s will on the earth must be perfectly accomplished… as is already the case in heaven. However, too often, we notice that God’s will isn’t necessarily everyone’s priority here on earth.
“With heaven as our model, we are designed to invade and fix problems here on earth as part of our ‘every believer is a minister’ mandate.” – Bill Johnson
How do you serve and be a blessing in the midst of your generation? Through prayer! It’s a powerful weapon. In your quiet time with God, intercede for the educational system; your governmental leaders; and for the people who work in the media, economic systems, and technology. And for me as well and others in ministry…In doing so, not only are you asking God to place believers, His representatives, in these key domains, but you’re also impacting the decisions made by those in positions of authority!
Yes, prayer is a weapon for God’s will to be accomplished on earth, a weapon we all can use! Pray without ceasing, and together, let’s change this world…one person at a time!
Amén.

Please lift me in prayer for peace in my family where we can all be encouragers of one another instead of doubters.

That was meant to say “husband”!
