The day I lost my job… ?

I’d like to share a short testimony with you today. I’d like to tell you about the time I was fired from my job as a receptionist because I refused to lie…

One day, sitting in my manager’s office, I picked up the phone as usual. The caller asked to speak to someone who was right there in the room. The manager asked me to lie and say that this person wasn’t there. I couldn’t do it! So I refused three times, and I was fired…on the spot!

After losing this job that I’d only had for three weeks, I was grieved and felt like I was starting all over again. But the very next day, a company contacted me and offered me an amazing job. It included fourteen months of salary, six weeks of vacation, and a position right in my area of expertise. In short, it was my dream job!

That position was a true gift from God. I never regretted being fired from my previous job!

Here’s what I learned from this: the most difficult circumstances of our lives sometimes serve to launch us into our destinies.

Only God knows the future. I encourage you to walk with integrity and stay faithful to His ways…He’ll take care of the rest!

As this Bible verse says, “No one who trusts in you will ever be disgraced…” (Psalm 25:3, NLT) 

I invite you to pray with me…“Lord, I choose today to trust You again completely! Thank You for holding every part of my life in Your hands. Help me to remain honest and faithful to Your ways today. I know that You’ll never leave or forsake me! In Jesus’ name, amen.”
