The desert will bloom!

“Therefore, behold, I will allure her, will bring her into the wilderness, and speak comfort to her.” (the Bible, Hosea 2:14, NKJV)

The dictionary definition of the word “desert” is a barren place, ill-suited for life. Viewed from this angle, the desert is not very appealing. And yet, God’s creation is full of beautiful surprises and rich with teachings.

When the ideal weather conditions come together, such as rain, high temperatures, and humidity, the desert flourishes.

Are you going through the dry, scorching wind of the desert right now?

If so, what is your desert called? Depression… Divorce… Sickness… Loneliness… Something else… ?

Whatever its name, this desert will not be your tomb. It will not bury you. You will not die in the desert…you will live. Yes, you will live and declare the works of the Lord! (read Psalm 118:17)

By faith, rise up with strength and declare: “God—oh God of my deliverance! God, who gives me the victory, You are the One in whom I believe!”

Feel the latter rain (read Joel 2:23) on your face; receive His life inside of you.

Let’s worship the Lord and sing aloud “Let It Rain” today…

Rise up and see…the desert is flourishing!

I just stepped outside to take my dog out and I literally was just looking to the heavens saying let it Rain, came back in and this email was in my inbox! If that isn’t a message from God, wow
I am recently widowed 5.5 months ago and am battling this loneliness and change, 42 years of the most deepest intense love , just gone with no notice at all. So many mixed emotions not only from losing my love of my life, but for reasons I have no earthly clue, I have been abandoned by my husband family. I am so lost , so hurt, so confused! I am constantly pray for mercy, grace, understanding, anything to feel worthy, my tears are never ending but I know God is here holding me, he has been here every step of the way on this journey, he has held my hand and showed me in so many ways that he is right here with me, I feel his presence constantly, but I still ache so deeply. Today I prayed let it rain, wash me , cleanse me , make me whole again!

Lora Hyatt, I cried reading your comment. I can’t imagine your pain and the emotions you feel at the moment. I pray that God of comfort calm your aching heart and give you hope and purpose in midst of this suffering.

You’re always worthy and precious irrespective of people standing with you or not. You matter and I pray God will fill your heart with what He thinks of you. Peace of Yeshua (Jesus) to you. Lord is the strength of your heart and portion forever. You’re His beloved.

God of peace Himself quiet you with His love.
