The Lord is my protector

“Huh, when did that break?” I looked at my phone and was completely perplexed because the lens was damaged, and I hadn’t even noticed when or how it happened.

When I finally got a new phone, my first thought was, “This time, I need protection for the lens before taking the phone anywhere.”

I don’t know how many phones I’ve had in my life, but it had never occurred to me to protect the camera or lens. Until now…

It’s always like that. There has to be a problem before we think about needing protection. Not only things need protection but we do too. Our hearts. Our bodies. What God has given us for life.

“You were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.” (1 Corinthians 6:20 NIV)

Please don’t wait until a problem arises to protect your heart. Also, don’t allow an unhealthy environment to repeatedly hurt you until you realize, with shock, how much it has adversely affected you.

You are a child of God. He has plans for you! He sees so much in you that you cannot see today! That’s why He wants you to trust Him for protection.

Do you think you don’t have the strength (anymore) for that? Then open His word now and let the truth back into your thoughts. It is God’s strength that makes everything possible!

“The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusts in him, and he helps me. My heart leaps for joy, and with my song I praise him.” (Psalm 28:7 NIV)

Do you want to pray this verse in faith:

“You, Lord, are my strength and my shield. I trust in you, and you help me!”

Amen, Amen. So shall it be!
