The love Jesus incarnated ❤️

If you study Jesus’ life in the four Gospels, you may observe, like I did, that Jesus was deeply invested. He was present wherever He was needed: in public places, in the temple, in the middle of crowds…

What energy, what charisma! Do you think that Jesus was everywhere at once so that we’d admire Him? No, of course not. Jesus, the Son of God, came to Earth motivated by one reason: love for us, which the Bible confirms here:

“But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” (Read Romans 5:8, NLT)

In fact, Jesus only had one goal on Earth: to save us. Only His great love for us could motivate Him to obey unto death!

As we mentioned this week, we may go through valleys of tears. Experience challenging situations where no solutions are available. And then believe God has let us down…and start questioning His love for us. 

Do you ever doubt His love? Today, God still wants to prove His love for you. He accomplished everything on the cross so that you’d have life, abundant life. Look at all He chose, out of love:

• He left the glory of heaven.
• He took on human form, to become like us.
• He became a servant, even washing His disciples’ feet.
• He sacrificed Himself on the cross in our place.
• He allowed our sins to fall on Him, the Holy God.
• He went to Sheol to take back the keys.

Finally, He left the tomb and rose again to give us life with Him! 

What more powerful love is there than this? Just like this song by Kari Jobe proclaims. What love is more sublime than the love of Jesus? Do you know a mightier love than Jesus?

Even death couldn’t hold Him back! For “death is swallowed up in victory”! (Read 1 Corinthians 15:54) God defines Himself as Love by triumphing over death on the cross. 

Whenever you’re in the midst of a trial and start doubting, I encourage you to immediately start thinking about His sacrifice on the cross. He did it all out of love!
