There is a time for everything

As the Bible says, “To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven” (Ecclesiastes 3:1).  Poor management of our time offers too few opportunities for a fulfilling family life, healthy friendships, and time with God that truly renews.

Eventually, living in a perpetual race against time isn’t just a source of fatigue and stress for us…those close to us suffer as well.

Good management of our time and priorities allows us to be more available for those who are dear to us. God wants you to succeed in your time management! He is there right beside you in all the practical aspects of organizing your days:

• If you’re frustrated because you don’t get to see your children after work, have you thought of asking God to help you effectively manage your tasks at work so you can be with them in the evenings?
• If you’re finding that your friendships lack depth, why not block off 15 minutes of your day, once a week, to call a friend and catch up?

In the end, the way we manage our lives depends less on our time management than on our personal discipline. Managing our priorities can, little by little, change many things in the relationships we have with those close to us.

Mother Teresa very wisely said this: “What can you do to promote world peace? Go home and love your family.”

Today, I encourage you to decide to start changing the way you manage your time, one step at a time. The advantages will be greater than you could possibly imagine!
