Use your creativity to serve God!

Home | A Miracle Every Day | Miracles | Use your creativity to serve God!

If God has given you a talent, use it for His glory!

Do you know why? To give Him all the honor He deserves.

God Himself demonstrated extraordinary creativity in creating the world. Who has never admired the beauty of a sunset or spectacular ocean panorama?

In the Old Testament, God chose a creative, talented worker to construct the Tabernacle: Bezalel. We read in Exodus 31:1-5, Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: ‘See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah. And I have filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding, in knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold, in silver, in bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of workmanship.’”

God says I have filled him,” meaning that it’s definitely He who has given this brilliant artistic talent to men! And His goal is that we use it for a specific purpose… serving the cause of His Kingdom.

When each person answers the call to serve Him with what he/she has received, that’s when our Heavenly Father is glorified!

Do you know how to sing, dance, play an instrument, paint, knit, write? Whatever your gift may be, I encourage you to use it there, where God has placed you. Your creativity pleases Him! We’ll continue our series on “the power that transforms the world” tomorrow. See you then!

I want to say thank you so much for putting this devotional up for me! I have been trying to start a photography business for the last 2 years but have been so fearful because I kept thinking I wasn’t good enough! Then someone came to my house and saw all my pictures on my room divider that holds pictures! They said to me that “you have a gift from God!” I’ve always knew I’ve been given a gift from God but like I said I’m very fearful to start a business! I don’t charge much, my business is built on references from other people that have use me to take photos or saw my work! Money isn’t everything, I say that because I’m the youngest of 6 children and I didn’t have the best of everything! I had the hand me downs! But I had the love from my mom! So I thank you for posting this, it gave me a fire in my belly to get me moving and pray and have friends pray for me!
