What does your world look like?

Are you living in an alternate universe? I am! The world seems to be going crazy. One recent article informed me that there are 26 different genders. Wow! I didn’t know that. I always believed that there are only two genders. Men and women can choose alternate lifestyles based on desires, lust, or trauma, but ultimately the Bible says, “in the image of God He created them; male and female He created them.” (Genesis 1:27, NIV)

Several leaders in key cities across the United States of America have been advocating to “defund the police.” Wow, that sounds crazy to me because law and order are important to me and my family. I’m sure we can continue to improve our law enforcement agencies, but eliminating them sounds dangerous.

Are media headlines and political decisions causing you to scratch your head? I realize my Christian beliefs seem to be putting me at odds with many decisions. More and more, I feel like I barely recognize the U.S., Canada, France, and so many other nations.

What can we do about it? Carry a banner or call a strike? Shout from the mountaintops or storm the halls of justice? You’ve got to do what you believe is right. But I think we should pray like our lives, cities, and nations depend on it. The Bible says, “The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.” (James 5:16, NIV) Our prayers are powerful, so let’s get busy winning battles in the heavenly places.

Paul the Apostle once said, “For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.” (Ephesians 6:12, NIV)

The world seems to be going crazy, but we’re not. We can pray, and God will move…isn’t this amazing? You are a miracle.
