You are precious in God’s eyes

The society we live in evaluates a person’s life according to certain criteria, such as social class, level of education, material wealth, etc. Have you ever been judged based on these same standards? Do you think they are appropriate for determining whether or not you are important?

If you sometimes feel belittled because you’re not like some people or because you don’t have the same “standard of living” as others, I have some good news for you:

Your life is important because God chose to create and to love you.

God is the author of your life. You aren’t a coincidence. He prepared your arrival on Earth!

The Bible tells us this: “You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb. You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.” (Psalm 139:15-16, NLT)

Your life is valuable because it is God’s choice.

If the Creator of the universe declares that your life matters, who can claim otherwise? Don’t listen to this deceitful voice that suggests that the world would be a much better place without you…This evaluation criteria is human; it’s unjust, carnal, and wrong. On the contrary, you’re important in God’s eyes because He loves you, and He is just!

Don’t accept any other truth but this one: God loves you.

• You are a blessing to your family, your friends, your coworkers.

• You are the channel that the Lord desires to flow through into their lives and hearts!

• You have been chosen to do God’s will, according to His gracious purposes.

When doubt appears suddenly in your thoughts, reject these lies and declare aloud: “Father, thank You for making me Your child. You chose me before I was even born…I was born because of Your decision. I want to remember that You love me, that You are fair and good. I choose, despite everything, to be the person You want me to be. In Jesus’s name, amen.”

You are God’s choice, and your life matters!
