You carry the Father’s authority

Did you know that you have access to the same authority as Jesus’s? Great news, isn’t it?

In the book Abba’s Heart, the author gives us 5 principles of authority. Here are two of them:

1. To live according to our personal destiny and identity, we must exercise the authority that God gives His children.
   The name of Jesus carries power, and it’s in and through Him that we have authority.
   The Bible tells us this: “But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” (John 1:12, NLT)
   We have the right, power, and authority to be children of God…and to live like it. God wants us to, like Jesus, heal the sick, drive out evil, and extend the Kingdom of God a little further.
2. Authority grows with responsibility.
   The greater our faithfulness, the more authority God entrusts to us. And He entrusts it to us for those around us…for our neighbor who’s going through illness, for our child who needs to grow in self-confidence…
   When we need direction ourselves, we draw our identity and the renewal of our minds from His presence. When we spend time with our Father, we grow in the intimacy of His love for others.

As soon as you turn to others to serve your Father, He will always reveal your identity to you more and more deeply.
