You were born to reflect Christ’s nature!

When the moon is full, nature offers us a magnificent sight: the lunar disk standing out in brilliant clarity against the night sky.

Have you ever exclaimed, “The moon looks so beautiful tonight! Look how brightly it’s shining!”? In reality, however, that’s not quite true…the moon doesn’t shine on its own. It’s not able to produce light. It shines by reflecting the light of the sun, which does burn and emit light.

You and I are like the moon. We can’t produce light on our own. Yes, the Bible says that we are the light of the world, called to shine (see Matthew 5:14), but…we shine because Christ lives in us!

You shine because you reveal His nature. Also, you shine when you act in love, when you forgive, when you’re slow to speak like we mentioned yesterday, when you deliberately choose to humble yourself…And this light is genuine because it finds its source…at THE source, Jesus!

I invite you to meditate on this, my friend:

• You are light because He was light before you.
• You love because He loved you first.
• You’re alive because He conquered death through His victory.

So, everything you are is the reflection and manifestation of HIS divine nature working within you! :-)
