Today, I invite you to travel in time with me. Let’s go back to the day God created man…
“So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” (the Bible, Genesis 1:27)
Let’s look into this…God created man. He gave him a name: Adam. He entrusted him with the management of all creation. (Genesis 1:28) And Adam stayed in the garden until the fall because it was his original place, the one that had been planned beforehand for him: to be in the Garden of Eden, in God’s presence, the very closest he could be to Him.
Here’s what I’d like to emphasize: God’s goal, when He created man and woman, was to have a relationship with them and be close to them. He could have placed them anywhere else on Earth! But He chose to place them as close as possible to Himself. Our God is a God of relationships.
We were never created to be separate from Him! God loves you, and it’s truly His desire to be with you every moment.
At any moment in time, it’s possible for you to go “into the garden” of His presence. There, where life, peace, provision, and joy reign. You were created to experience all of this, every day of your life. And especially today!
So don’t wait any longer…enter in to the presence of the Lord, where your true place is, because you are His creation! If you’d like, you can start even this moment by joining in singing this lovely worship song by Kari Jobe called “The Garden.”
